KCclegg01 The 1983 Brabham had 1,300bhp in qualfying trim and a power to wieght ratio of 3,000bhp per ton The 1986 Renault engine which powered the Lotus 97T I think had 1500bhp in qualifying trim, those were the days! 09/19/2009 - 16:01:47
KCclegg01 Although it was the 80's before the other teams followed suit! 09/19/2009 - 15:56:43

BluesMan9teen69 @holiva1 : The Turbos started in 1977 with the Renaut RS01 08/20/2009 - 04:24:31
Kociarz7327 The turbo became popular in 80's but i think it was invented erlier 08/03/2009 - 18:37:39
holiva1 There was no turbos in 1972 f1 season. The turbo started in the 80s. 07/20/2009 - 15:39:46

craigg1981 I was talking about Monza, not Monaco! I know they have changed Monaco but not nearly as much as they have changed Monza! 02/13/2009 - 18:56:54
KCclegg01 I would like the Paul Ricard circuit to return as the French GP circuit, Suzuka is the best circuit in my opinion, theres rarely a dull race there. 02/13/2009 - 13:49:28
TakumiFujiwara80 not correct...Monaco received some major update at the final corner from the swimming pool corner till the rascasse...and the box take advatage of this lifting too.. 02/11/2009 - 00:11:32
IanardBrandon01 I think that depends on if a team has a big car advantage then its a dull race if not its much more exicting, can't wait for slicks next year! 12/15/2008 - 14:06:49
JoelHD1984 I would have loved to have been a formula 1 driver at that time. Those guys were heros. 12/08/2008 - 00:40:14
doud212 The belgium GP is probably the best whatever the weather... 12/04/2008 - 17:17:35
KCclegg01 Mr. E may be a shrewd hard nosed businessman who deals only at the highest price possible, but he helped F1 become very wealthy, u see back in the 1970s F1 was in trouble because it wasnt getting the kind of cash it needed to cover the costs involved, not to mention the global oil crises of 73. If it wasnt for Mr. Es global televising expansion of the mid 1970s F1 may have been cancelled a long time ago. The success of modern day F1 owes a lot to the legendary Sir Bernie Eccelstone. 12/01/2008 - 16:56:59
craigg1981 Thanks man, I appreciate it! I try and be civil, its hard sometimes with some of these people though! LeontariF1 did disagree very respectfully though! 11/25/2008 - 22:26:08
craigg1981 He got to his position by buys the right to F1, not by being good at his job! And certainly not knowing the business inside and out! Bernie ONLY has pull cause he holds all the contracts to the tracks, thats it! His job wasnt appointed to him, he bought it! Just so you know! 11/25/2008 - 22:23:28
craigg1981 Yea, but they dont race on the same track! They use like 1 or 2 of the same turns, thats it! Its not the same track therefore its not the oldest! Monaco hasnt changed at all, besides putting a chicane in at the bottom of the hill after they come out of the tunnel! 11/25/2008 - 22:20:37
craigg1981 I dont like Magny-cours but I would much rather watch a race there then the parade at Monaco! The only reason they go there is cause of the glitz and glamour! The reason nobody wants to goto Magny-cours, cause there is no glitz and glamour! Flabio and all the fat cats want to sleep in hotels with 800 thread count sheets instead of having a good race! Its fucking pathetic, the FIA and Bernie should be replaced! Its got NOTHING to do with racing, its ALL about the money! Its been that way forever 11/25/2008 - 22:17:04
