arhavlisj Furthermore,competition or lack of it is a factor to be considered,and last but not least,regulations and strategies in different eras. Schumacher missed the turbo era,and lack of refuelling which was requiring a totally different tire change strategy than the one he had...Stats and numbers only set records but are never in a position to acknowledge a driver's raw skill and ability. arhavlisj Statistics are not the essence of F1,if one takes statistics to rate drivers then Gilles Villeneuve would be equal in speed and wins as Patreze... Micheal Schumacher had the chance to stay active for 5 more seasons that is 100 more races and stats are totally invalid.Car reliability is another major factor that cannot be measured in stats...An extra quick driver can take pole,fast lap and then retire during the last laps of a race...does this make him worse than the winner who had a better car?	11/30/2009 - 15:31:35
